KING CRAB SAFARI The king crab is an exotic animal that also tastes good - and Varanger is an ideal place to experience a king crab safari. FJORDCRUISE The Varanger fjord is a paradise for fishing by boat. M/S Varangerfjord will bring you to the open sea where you can fish, learn about local history and culture or just enjoy the scenery. DOG SLEDGING The wilderness of Varanger can also be experienced from a sledge pulled by dogs through the snow and ice. To listen to the hiss of the sledge and the panting of the dogs while they pull over the winter landscape - is the arctic winter at its best. Includes full board, lodging and one sledge with four dogs for each participant. Duration of tours can be from 1-2 hours up to six days.   When: November - April SNOW MOBILE SAFARI The landscape in Varanger is relatively flat with few obstructions, making it ideal for snowmobile tours. It can be a short trip lasting  1-2 hours or a few days tours with staying in lavvo. The participants can enjoy a wonderful winter landscape with white-clad hills, clear blue sky and the Arctic Ocean with its boisterous waves. When: December - April SAUNA CENTER After a long day of activities, relaxing in the northernmost sauna centre in the world will be a pleasurable experience. The centre is located on a traditional kven farm and features several facilities: three different saunas, outdoor bathtub, shower, changing room, bathrooms, and a large living room, which can be used for dining or just relaxing in a traditional and historical environment.The centre can be combined with outdoor activities.
